I did manage to fix the flavor text and reminder text. I'll fix the old set on this front at my earliest convenience
We join Linkara as he is wrapping up an episode of Atop the Fourth Wall
"THIS COMIC SUCKS!"
However, just as the internet reviewer was about to go on a crusade about why the shlock he just read was garbage, he was suddenly teleported in flash of white light only to find himself smack dab in the middle of a giant wasteland.
"What the--" Linkara exclaimed and then scratched the top of his trilby. "Where the hell am I?"
"******"
Hearing the odd static, Linkara reached into his pocket for his phone.
"Alert! Incoming war--oh."
Linkara crinkled his brow at the oddly familiar voice emitting from his cell phone. "Nimue?"
"Confirmed!"
"But why....how did you?"
"When the teleport emission hit, this unit's data was transferred into the most suited electronic device being teleported with you. In this case, your cell phone."
"Oh okay," Linkara nodded his head at the clear absurdity. He then frowned. "Wait a second, what the hell happened!"
"This unit is...uncertain. The transfer between the apartment and here was so abrupt this unit has not had a proper moment to transfer enough of its functions to be running at full capacity."
"That's...inconvenient. How long do you need?"
"One moment please!" Nimue exclaimed and Linkara stood staring at his phone for a good solid minute. "Diagnostic complete! This unit is now running at mobile capacity! All this unit's functions are applicable save those that connect to Comicron-1, but processor speed has been slowed to accommodate this unit's current situation."
"So what can you tell me?"
"Information! The area we are in seems to expand endlessly. It's as if it was built using holo-deck technology, but somehow seems to exist...naturally."
"How the hell is that even possible?" Linkara cried out in confusion.
"This unit does not know. However, magic would be the most likely culprit."
"Of course," Linkara sighed. "Any idea who's behind it."
"This unit is picking up a reading not unlike that of the Entity."
Linkara swallowed. If he took Nimue's words at face value then that would mean there was some kind of Outer God involved in all of this. "N-Nimue, are you certain?"
"Affirmative. Although, this unit is picking up many other readings as well."
"Such as?"
"Multiple dimensional influxes are happening all across this endless expanse. Some are newer than others if only by milliseconds."
"Okay, I think I'm starting to get the picture. We're in some kind of weird land that's pulling in beings from multiple universes."
"This unit believes that deduction to be accurate."
"So what now?"
"This unit suggests walking."
".....seriously?"
"It's probably the best way to get at the truth."
"Ugh," Linkara groaned. "So, just so we're clear how are you on my phone exactly? I never programmed anything into--it's magic isn't it? We're not going to get an explanation."
"That would be...a likely deduction."
Linkara sighed as he looked onward over the horizon. Margaret was properly in her holster where she belonged so that was better than nothing. "I want you to try and see if you can't get a hold of Pollo somehow," Linkara told Nimue.
"This unit is also trying to gain access to Comicron-1, but both connections are either non-existent due to the dimensional boundaries or out of range. This unit is banking on the former."
"Well then, guess we do this the hard way. Keep me posted on hostile life forms."
"Confirmed."
And that's how Linkara became the main character of this mess. And why not? He's an internet reviewer that has foreknowledge of a good chunk of the characters I've used: Gurren Lagann, Madoka Magica, Marvel, DC, Ace Attorney, Neon Genesis Evangelion etc.
Oh and Nimue has her OWN card, but we'll get there when we get there.
And yes, The King of Magic is a force similar to the Entity i.e an Outer God. However, for those of you who know what the Entity's true form is having actually WATCHED AT4W you should know that this King of Magic could very well BE Haruhi or some form of anime character.
However, I'm holding out on THAT answer up until the very end.
Linkara, now that I can use him, if this series was an actual crossover, would be the central protagonist and would be getting most of the focus and be the one to ultimately solve the problem.
But, of course, he's going to need an enemy/rival to get in his way and if you've been paying attention you should know who've I selected. If you don't yet know...you'll know soon enough MWAHAHAHA!
